What’s the difference between printed, woven, or embroidered patches?

Printed Patches; have Merrow edges and smooth surfaces.
Woven Patches; are thinner than the embroidered ones, and you illustrate the artwork work.

How to iron-on girl scout patch?

Tools Needed:

Iron-On Patches
An iron & ironing board
A press cloth (light color hand towel, cotton pillowcase, or washcloth)
Girl Scout Vest or Sash

1. First of all, high heat the temperature set for 5 minutes.
2. Lay down the garment on an iron board.
3. Remove release paper if there is any (wax type paper on the back of some patches), set patch aside.
4. Iron the targeted area of the garment where your patch will be placed (25 seconds is recommended).
5. Place your patch at the desired location.
6. Lay press the cloth over the patch carefully. The towel is used there to save garment as well as a patch from the iron. from the dirty residue of iron.
7. Place the hot iron on the towel over the patch and press down firmly for 10-15 seconds.
8. Iron the backside of the patch in a back and forth motion for 35-45 seconds. You have to turn the garment inside out.
9. Let it cool completely once it is pressed.

What temperature is recommended for iron on patches?

270 degrees Fahrenheit is the ideal temperature for iron-on patches, make sure the fabric can stand with it while adding iron-on patches.

How to iron on patches with parchment paper?

Keep parchment paper on top of the patch while ironing because it is heat safe up to 420^oF or 215C.

Why parchment paper is used?

Parchment paper is used to cover the patches while ironing to avoid burning.

Is iron-on patches machine washable?

Yes, you can wash them in the machine, cleaning by hand gently is recommended for long use.

How to use printed patches?

You can personalize your old or new clothing. Printed patches mostly look elegant on hoodies, jacket skirts, shirts, caps: bags, and backpacks.

How to iron-on patches using a hair straightener?

You need to warm the hair straighteners
Place the iron-on patch where you want to stick
Now clamp the straightener over it and hold for 30 to 60 minutes.

Will iron-on patches stick to canvas?

Yes. But it can melt the wax or oil of the canvas and damage it by the heat of iron. Sewing is the better option for canvas.
